How to use the triadic palette generator
Even spacing is what makes a triad feel balanced and also what makes it loud: three equally distant, equally saturated hues have no hierarchy at all, so the eye has nowhere to settle. The working convention is one dominant, one supporting and one accent. The ratios matter far more than the hue selection. Triads are common in brands aimed at children and at play for exactly this reason: the balance reads as energetic. For an interface it is usually too much unless two of the three are heavily desaturated.
