Why this exists
I was done with "free" QR-code generators. You wait, you click through a redirect, you hand over an email, and the code you finally get expires or points at somebody else’s tracking domain first. That is not free; you paid, you just paid with your content and your attention. So I built the tools I wanted to use myself: generate a QR code and download it immediately, resize or compress a batch of images without uploading them anywhere. No waiting, no redirects, no strings. Ads help pay the bill; everything else is free. Many more tools to come. Have fun with it, it is yours. — Willem
What this is
A set of single-purpose tools: converters, calculators, generators and file utilities. Everything runs in your browser; calculations happen on your device and what you type into a tool is never sent to a server. There is no account, no upload and no paid tier. Every tool is free, for everyone, including commercial use.
Your content stays yours
Don’t pay with your content. Nothing you type, paste or open in a tool is uploaded, stored, logged or used to train anything. The file you drop on the image compressor never leaves the tab it is in. Where a tool genuinely cannot work that way, we say so on the tool itself, in plain words, and explain exactly what is sent and why. There is no silent exception, and there is no tool whose real purpose is to collect what you put into it.
Who makes it
My name is Willem. I build ToolTiki, and I write the articles on it. It is published by my company, TecWeb B.V., in Sassenheim in the Netherlands. I work from one plain rule: one tool, one job, no configuration screen. Every tool cites the standard or formula it implements, and the arithmetic behind the finance and health tools is tested against those published equations rather than eyeballed — there is a test file next to every one of them. How it is paid for
Ads help pay the bill. We run display advertising and nothing else; that is the whole business model. We do not sell data, run affiliate links inside tools, or place an ad above the tool you came for. Ad slots are fixed per page: one small banner below the tool, one rectangle after the supporting content, and one in the sidebar on desktop.
How we measure
We use Google Analytics to understand which tools are used and how pages perform, and Google Search Console to see how people find us. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland analytics storage stays denied, so a visit is counted without writing a cookie or recording an identifier. What you type into a tool is never part of any measurement.
Languages
English only for now. More languages will follow, and the layout is already built to take the extra length.
