Word count to page count calculator
There is no fixed answer without knowing the formatting. The convention worth memorising is 250 words to a double-spaced 12-point page, which makes 1,000 words four pages and 2,000 words eight.
How to convert words to pages
The 250-word page is not arbitrary. It comes from the standard manuscript page; 12-point monospace, double spaced, one-inch margins, which publishers used for decades precisely because it made length predictable regardless of who typed it. Modern proportional fonts break that: the same 250-word page in Times at 12 point runs shorter than in Courier, and margins move it again. If a page count is being enforced, ask what the formatting is, because the difference between single and double spacing is a factor of two and no amount of careful writing bridges it.
Questions
Four double spaced, two single spaced, at 12 point with normal margins.
Formatting. Font, size, spacing and margins each move it, and spacing alone is a factor of two.

No, only words. A page with a figure on it holds far fewer.
Yes. A part page is still a page for any limit that is being enforced.
