Lorem ipsum generator
Transformed in your browser · nothing is uploaded
Generates placeholder text by the paragraph, the sentence or the exact word. The same count always produces the same text, so a layout you are judging does not shift underneath you.
How to use the lorem ipsum generator
Lorem ipsum is not nonsense: it is a scrambled passage from Cicero’s De Finibus Bonorum et Malorum, written in 45 BC, and that origin is why it works. Real Latin has a letter and word-length distribution close enough to English to look like text at a glance, while being unreadable enough that nobody starts reading it instead of looking at the layout. That is the whole point. The counter-argument, worth knowing: placeholder text hides the fact that you have not decided what the page says, and designs built on lorem ipsum often fall apart when real copy arrives at a different length. Use real draft copy where you can.
