Astrology and numerology are traditions, not sciences. There is no evidence that any of it predicts anything. This calculates what the tradition says, accurately.
A star sign is the zodiac sign the Sun occupied at birth in the tropical zodiac. The twelve run from Aries on 21 March through to Pisces ending 20 March, each covering roughly thirty days.
How to find your star sign
The Sun sign is the only part of a chart that can be worked out from a date alone. Everything else in a natal chart; Moon sign, rising sign, house placements. Needs the time and place of birth as well, because they depend on where the Earth was pointing at that moment. That is why a "star sign" horoscope covering a twelfth of the population is the shallowest possible reading even within the tradition own terms.
