Split PDF
Built in your browser · nothing is uploaded
Splitting builds new documents out of the pages you name. Three ways cover almost everything: one file per page, one file per range, or a single file containing just the pages you picked — which is what you want when you need one chapter out of a long report.
How to split a PDF
The range box is deliberately forgiving. Commas or spaces both separate groups, 4- means "page four to the end", and asking for 1-50 of a twelve-page file gives you the twelve pages rather than an error. Numbers are the pages as you see them, starting at one. Each output keeps the original page content untouched, so text stays selectable and the resolution is unchanged.
Questions
Choose One file and type that page number. You get a single-page PDF with the original page inside it.
Yes. Scanned pages are images inside a PDF and are copied exactly as they are.
Roughly proportionally, though shared resources such as embedded fonts are copied into each output, so the parts can add up to more than the whole.
Page four to the last page. It saves counting when you want everything from a point onwards.
No. A 500-page split is fine; it just takes a moment, and you get the files as a ZIP.
No. It is read and rebuilt entirely in this page.
