How to use the braille translator
The distinction between Grade 1 and Grade 2 matters and is usually skipped. Grade 1 is one cell per letter, which is what this does. Grade 2 uses nearly 200 contractions; single cells standing for whole words like "the" or common letter groups like "ing" — and it is what actual published Braille uses, because Grade 1 is roughly a third longer to read. So this is right for a puzzle, a label or understanding the system, and wrong as a way to produce material for a Braille reader. The other point worth making: these are Unicode Braille characters displayed on screen, which is not the same as embossed Braille, and a sighted person copying them into a document has not produced anything a Braille reader can use.
