Amazon FBA profit calculator
Referral rates differ by category and fulfilment fees by size tier, season and marketplace. Use Amazon own fee preview for a listing you are about to launch.
FBA profit is the sale price less the referral fee, the fulfilment fee, storage and your cost of goods. A 29.99 item at a 15% referral, 3.50 fulfilment and 8.00 cost leaves about 13.59 before advertising.
How to calculate FBA profit
The line most FBA sellers omit is advertising, and on a competitive listing it is not small. An ACoS of 20% on a 30 item is six pounds a unit, which will comfortably exceed the referral fee. Long-term storage fees are the other quiet drain: stock that ages past the threshold starts costing meaningfully per cubic foot per month, and slow-moving inventory can end up costing more to store than it is worth. Any FBA margin calculation that stops at the fee table is optimistic by a wide margin.

It depends on size and weight tier, from around 2.50 for a small envelope to well over 10 for a large heavy item.
Yes. On a competitive listing it often exceeds the referral fee. Subtract your ACoS from the profit shown here.
Most sellers target 25–35% net after all fees and advertising. Below 15% leaves no room for a price war or a fee rise.
Stock aging past the threshold accrues charges per cubic foot per month. Slow movers can cost more to store than they earn.
